The Installation Engineer shall be assigned to the Baltic Eagle project and shall be responsible for undertaking project engineering duties to assist with the delivery of the inter-array cables work package.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Completion of the project engineering tasks that are identified within the package engineering plan.
• Drafting of the Employer’s Technical Requirements for T&I and for assisting with the technical evaluation of bids.
• Supervision of Contractor’s engineering works and for the review of Contractor’s procedures for T&I.
• Supervision of Contractor works which may include undertaking the duties of package engineering representatives at Contractor’s premises or onboard installation vessels.
• Review and approval of the as-installed records.
In addition to the core responsibilities and accountabilities the Installation Engineer may be delegated additional responsibilities for health and safety management, budgeting, planning, procurement, development of departmental procedures and reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in offshore wind or subsea discipline
  • Demonstrable experiences in

o engineering design.

o production of specification and tender documents.
o contracts (/subcontracts) negotiations (technical aspects).
o construction planning.
o budgetary estimations.

LANGUAGES

The project has an international team of employees, and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written (full professional proficiency). German would be advantageous.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Working knowledge and understanding of:
o European Health and Safety legislation relevant to marine operations.
o DNV standards for offshore wind.
o Construction planning, Estimations & Risk Management.
o Commercial awareness (incl. FIDIC contracts).
Skills:
o Management of interfaces of multidisciplinary teams spread across multiple locations.
o Ability to implement quality assurance and environmental processes.
o Highly developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, particularly related to multicultural relationships, and ability to present effectively to management teams.
o Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
o Advanced user of Microsoft office applications.
