Responsibilities

Apply software engineering skills, design skills, and creative thinking to build cutting edge Cognitive (such as IBM Watson) and AI systems based on intelligent agents in a multi-agent system.

Design and develop software as scalable architectures, reusable  components, API's and systems

Identify and refine project requirements, solutions to potentially abstract AI challenges, and well-defined performance metrics

Translate project requirements into executable roadmaps for creating and measuring technical capability

Work with deep learning models. Optimize/ customize/ refine them

Leverage automation, cognitive and ML-based techniques to predict scenarios and prescribe actions

Staying up-to-date with cutting edge computational techniques, including machine and deep learning developments and integrating these techniques into projects

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science/machine learning, information systems or a related study, or equivalent related project experience.  3 to 5 Years (minimum)

This software developer role will be responsible on innovative initiatives relating to Cognitive, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to navigate the future with confidence to deliver enterprise value in a dynamic business environment.

AVANGRID IT Digital team leverages the power of cognitive technologies to optimize the complex business processes that helps our business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to run their business process more efficiently.

This role will also contribute the innovation effort in IT AVANGRID team, identifying innovation ideas, supporting the execution of PoCs and managing all the documentation required for the Innovation process compliancy, in collaboration with AVANGRID Corporate Innovation team and in coordination with Global IT Innovation counterpart.

At least 3 years of experience coding and debugging in one or more general purpose programming languages including, but not limited to: R, Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, LISP, Prolog...etc.

Ability to transfer project requirements into robust software components and architectures

Two to three years of experience with Artificial Intelligence, Quantitative and Qualitative Analytics, Deep Learning, Machine Learning and Natural Language processing.

Good knowledge of machine learning techniques, feed-forward, recurrent and convolutional neural networks and machine learning.

Experience with one of the following: Theano, Tensorflow, Caffe, or any other deep/ machine learning framework preferred.

Ability to formulate hypotheses, draw conclusions and deliver results

Experience working with datasets, and strong interest in deep data analysis
