Program Manager- Pipeline Development (Internships and Apprentice)

The Program Manager – Internships and Apprentice role is critical to our organizational objective of creating Destination AVANGRID. As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, the program manager will work across AVANGRID, partnering with hiring managers to align high potential students and apprentice into early career programs and our talent pipeline.

Under supervision of the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Internships and Apprentice Program Manager uses independent judgment to design, develop, coordinate and manage AVANGRID’s Destination, Early Career Programs. The position requires the ability to manage priorities against a timeline, foster relationships and drive successful performance to meet and track metrics.  The Internships and Apprentice Program Manager will be responsible for driving all campus recruiting efforts for early career professional and apprentice programs.  This role will require significant collaboration.  The position is responsible for the internship development and coordination, student and academic relationships as well as partnership with business area leaders to meet strategic initiatives. This position is located in Orange, CT and requires travel for campus activities.



1.    Provide leadership in the development and implementation of an Early Career Program that aligns to business goals and objectives.
2.    Create academic partnerships that develop a pipeline of talent for the organization’s current and future needs.
3.    Work collaboratively with business area leaders to create Brand Ambassadors for the early career program.
4.    Collaborate with external communications team to develop marketing strategies to promote Early Career Programs.
5.    Stays abreast to changes within the industry and utilize social media attraction strategies.
6.    Prepares plans and budgets for projects and programs. Monitors progress against the plans and budgets including periodic schedule and cost reporting reports
7.    Establish a robust and effective evaluation model including the development of KPIs, dashboards and other reporting mechanisms to effectively demonstrate and communicate the value of the program.

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

•    BS/BA Degree +  3-5 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Experience in early career, campus recruitment or marketing required.


Required Experience/Training:
•    Proven success in managing complex and multi-faceted programs with the ability to drive projects through completion.
•    Creativity in hiring events.
•    Must possess experience in a collegiate environment and have the ability to interact with faculty and administrators.
•    Excellent verbal communications and presentation development skills (PowerPoint) are required.
•    Ability to effectively plan, manage and prioritize multiple projects at a variety of stages.
•    Must be able to work independently and also within a team in a fast-paced environment.
•    Demonstrate extremely strong analytical skills, as well as personal organizational skills.
•    Exhibit a collaborative work style within a multi-national company.
