Analyst- Compensation

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):


Analyze and develop offer and other salary action recommendations.  Analyses include a review of market rates, internal equity and other relevant factors.

Complete compensation data analyses, such as merit models, incentive accruals, and ad hoc requests

Assist in completing job evaluation studies and provide organizational and job and title design guidance and recommendations. Job evaluation methodology considers comparable jobs’ accountability and complexity as well as market pricing analyses.

Support compensation administration of annual programs such as performance management, annual incentive, and merit.

Assist in completing compensation regulatory compliance studies and self-audits

Interface with HRBPs, management and employees to consult and explain compensation decisions and considerations

Compile and analyze data for personnel and Rewards external services budgets

Support compensation projects and responds to special requests as needed

Adhere to effective internal controls.

Data reporting and compilation:  This position will pull reports from various system sources and compiles data for further analyses and to inform compensation decision-making. Market survey participation and compensation system data updates (e.g., market pricing software, recognition vendor uploads/downloads)

Compensation Analyses:  Completes analyses such as market analyses, internal equity reviews, and summary statistics. Develops new hire or promotional offers based on rigorous analysis. Models resulting costs and impacts of current or conceptual compensation plans and designs.

Consultation and HR partnership:  Communicates and explains decisions and supporting analyses and reasoning to HR partners, managers and employees. Maintains an open-mind to consider additional information or perspective from stakeholders that may change initial decisions.

Administer Compensation processes:  Assist or complete processing and administration of compensation programs, plans and services.

Skills and Requirements


Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Will provide support for day-to-day administration of Compensation programs with consultation and recommendations for offers and other salary actions, job analyses and job evaluation, market pricing, and other compensation analyses.  This position will also assist compensation program


Education & Experience Required:

Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience


Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and SAP or other ERP

Strong data analysis and reporting skills

Strong attention to detail

Working knowledge of FLSA and other compensation relevant laws and regulatory requirements

Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external constituents and experience in interacting with all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated experience handling confidential or sensitive information

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and convey information effectively in verbal, written and electronic communication
