Lead Analyst - SAP Support


Augusta, ME, US



Responsible for prioritizing solutions related to multiple system applications (SAP, client/server) including developing solutions, configuration changes, reporting capabilities to meet ongoing end user requirements for these applications. Serve as the primary contact for business clients, end users and vendors who support our overall application library.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

Work with clients to create solutions thru design, configuration, or custom development that meet client needs. Prepare specifications and test business solutions according to functional and technical requirements.

Work in group environment with other applications support personnel on prioritization and planning of application responsibilities specific to the CMP area and applications.  Develop innovative ideas to use functionality not currently being utilized.

Provides timely and accurate solutions to business areas including unresolved user requests from the service desk.

Prepare specifications and documentation for changes provided by IT Support staff.

Develop and maintain IT documentation.

Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and execution.

Complete system change request review and obtain approvals.

Working with vendors to implement application changes or help discover solutions.

Work at times directly with the support teams in developing application changes to fit customer needs. This includes but is not limited to building reports in the SAP IEE system and support upgrades for various applications.

After hour on-call rotation required

Skills and Requirements

- Strong proficiency with SQL and SQL tools such as Windows, Oracle, TOAD, Microsoft SQL Server tools as well as scripting tools.

- Strong proficiency in database relationship models with knowledge of Windows, Oracle and DB2

- Strong analytical, complex problem, solving and successful negotiation skills in a fast paced workplace environment.

- Experience with application lifecycle methodologies.

- Familiarity with mainstream IT Technologies, such as products from Sun (Oracle and Solaris), Visual Basic,  IBM, Microsoft, Cisco technologies and products and Open Source products (Linux)

- Able to work with others to design effective processes and system solutions. The ability to work with remote clients, functional teams and equipment is required.

- Strong focus on solution quality - Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines and have ability to work independently.

- Capable of business process to technology translation with strong understanding of deskside tools.

- Good presentation, communication, listening, and written skills

- Have strong desire to excel and learn new systems independently.


- At least 5 years of IT experience,  including SAP Support experience.- Detailed, cross module SAP integration knowledge including SAP IS-U, CRM Customer Care is preferred.- Broad knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of the specific business unit is desirable.- Strong knowledge of customer service functionality.

Required Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience is acceptable
